Thank you for expanding on the unitary executive. This argumentation is ever more profound and pressing as an issue when applied to places like the EU - there's magistrates aplenty, but no executive to rein them in. The Commission comes from their own ranks, so there is no structure that would enforce accountability, nor is there any separation when legislative issues are pushed through via the EU parliament rubber stamp.

As an aside, is there any source or evidence for this argumentation that preceeds Montesquieu?
